Final has just released their much anticipated D7000 planar magnetic headhhones to much fanfare around the globe. You can read the entire press release here.
7th May 2024, Brighton, UK: The new D7000 builds upon Final’s legacy of award-winning open-back planar magnetic flagship headphones. Having first developed their own driver technology for the award-winning D8000, revolutionising the capabilities of planar-magnetic headphones, Final has since improved on its Air Film Damping System (AFDS) for greater efficiency and extended reproduction of bass frequencies.
Final's new D7000 planar-magnetic headphones are now available to buy from selected retailers worldwide for $3499 / £2999.
Some Key features:
Equipped with 'Pinna-Aligned Diffuser'
D7000 introduces sound adjustment through diffusion, a standard in modern recording studios. Initial challenges in diffuser development were overcome through simulations and listening experiments, resulting in an optimal shape for consistent audio quality.
Dynamic Sense And Openness
By balancing the delicate high range of planar magnetic fields with the dynamic sense and openness of dynamic types, using the D7000 allows for new discoveries in familiar music and makes you want to listen to your favourite music over and over again. This headphone allows you to feel that excellent sound quality is the key to touching the depths of music.
Easy Repair And Long-Term Use
Final has prioritized long-term durability and ease of repair in the design of the D7000. Nearly all parts can be disassembled using screws, providing accessibility for repairs and allowing for potential future upgrades. This thoughtful design ensures that users can maintain and extend the lifespan of their headphones with ease.
Machined Aluminium Magnesium Alloy Housing
To establish AFDS, an extremely high level of precision compared to typical driver units is necessary. Because of this, the machined aluminium magnesium alloy housing has been machined with great precision.
Newly Developed Earpads
Both closed-back and open-back headphones extend low-frequency reproduction by sealing ear pads. The D series employs AFDS to enhance low-frequency reproduction with new ear pads featuring breathable foam and special fibre for improved sound quality. The D7000 utilizes a special Japanese paper fabric for durability and moisture resistance in both ear pads and headband.
Dedicated Protective Case
The D7000 comes with a dedicated protective case designed for convenient portability and storage of various cables and accessories. For added security, the case includes a lock that can be secured with the provided key.
